The short version
- Records have a summary, eligibility, design details, locations and contacts.
- The record is posted by the study sponsor and can lag behind real events.
- Using a record to read about a study is different from being matched with one.
The top block
At the top you will see the title, a status label and a short summary. Read the summary first; it is written for a general audience.
Eligibility and design
The eligibility section lists who the study seeks. The study design section tells you the phase, how groups are assigned and whether it is blinded, as covered in other guides.
Where and who
Locations list sites that may be involved, and contacts give a number or email for questions. The record does not guarantee a site is currently enrolling.
A reminder
The record is a reading tool. We do not search for or recommend studies, and a doctor can help you read a record if you wish.
